How's This For An Exciting Evening

Logan: (casually) Mom, the neighbor's house is on fire.
Jarom: No, it's not. They just have a bon-fire outside by the house, and it looks like it is on fire.
Logan: ( a little more concerned this time) No, it really is on fire. Mmmoooom, the neighbor's house is on fire.
Me: I'm sure it isn't on fire. (said as I am walking down the hall to look out the window in their room and to tell them what it really is) It's probably just..................SHAWN, THE NEIGHBOR'S HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!!! (Said as I am running outside to get a closer look) SHAWN, THE NEIGHBORS HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!!
Shawn: What? (He runs outside to get a better look) What the? I'll call 911! Where are the fire extinguishers? Here, take my phone, and you talk to 911, I'm going over there!
Shawn used our fire extinguishers to put out the fire around the door so he could open it and make sure no one was inside. Luckily no one was. Then he, and our other neighbor, shoveled snow on the fire until the fire department arrived. Sweetie you're my hero!!
Moral of the Story: Listen to your child when they tell you the neighbor's house is on fire!

Whoa! I'm so glad no one was home! That poor family! And good for Shawn! I remember that house!

Yes... that is an exciting evening!

I tried calling a few times yesterday but the phone was always busy. I'll try again today.

Since Circus Life is gone, I'm going to comment here...
You made me want to cry. I'm so glad you got to go browse for something to release your creativity. You're an awesome mom Kim!! Also, not to give unsolicited advice, but maybe a 6 month NO is in order? I'm in need of a 6 month purge and no myself :)
