Thank You!!

I have been using this recipe for years now. These are my absolute favorite pancakes. Cathy Crane included this recipe in a cookbook the Benningtion Relief Society Sisters put together years and years ago. I have used it so many times that my page ripped out of the book. I now have it included in our family cookbook so I can have it forever.
Here's to you Cathy and Stuart Crane. Thank you for giving us the best pancake recipe ever. We have become spoiled. We will never enjoy pancakes from a mix because of you. We think of you every time we eat these golden delicious pancakes. You, Cathy and Stuart, will live on in our hearts forever. Thank you.

Stuart's Pancakes
1 1/3 C. flour
2 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 T. oil
2 T. sugar
1 C. milk
1 egg
Mix together. Gradually add a little more milk if batter is too thick. (I make 4 times the recipe when I make them)

Mom's Syrup
2 C. sugar
1 C. water
1 t. maple flavoring
Combine ingredients and bring to a boil over high heat. When the syrup boils it will bubble up, when the bubbles go back down turn heat off.

Hi Kim,
This is Angie Bolton. I love your blog! I'm going to have to try those pancakes, they look delish! It is so fun to feel like I am keeping up with everyone from home. I wish more of the Benningtonites our age would blog. I was so sad to hear about your brother and relieved to hear that things are looking up. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Ang
