Finally an Update
Finally an update on our family. Everyone has been after me to post more pictures of the kids. The OCD part of me thinks that they all have to be perfectly edited in order to post them, and I haven't had time to edit them. Well, I finally broke down and I am posting them as they are.
We have done a lot of fun stuff in the last 2 months, and it is about time I give an update. Here goes. At the beginning of May our whole family walked a 5K. The last mile seemed a little long, but overall I thought we did great. We completed it in 60minutes. It was a great experience. Next year we are going to do a 10K.
Tabetha was awarded an award for the most valuable in her swimming group on the swim team. She is taking a break from the swim team for the summer, but she did great this season and really enjoyed it. She has turned into a great swimmer.
Jarom attended Cub Scout Day camp for 4 days in June and had a great time. His leader came and told me what a great kid he is. She said he is always very polite and his really nice to the younger kids. She said if I ever decide to give away one of my kids she wants Jarom. (Sorry, that won't be happening)
Logan's big news is that he lost 2 of his front teeth. Not the two teeth in front, he lost one in the front and then the one next to it. (I don't know if that makes any sense, but he has 2 less teeth.) He was very excited to have the tooth fairy visit. He loves playing outside and he did a hockey summer camp with Shawn during June. He and Jarom are turning into quite the little hockey players.
Hannah and Katie are both betting big. Hannah still has to do everything that dad does and Katie has to do everything Hannah does. We have been watching "America's got Talent" on the tv lately and Hannah has to try to do everything the contestants do, and then Katie has to follow Hannah. Last night there was a 10 year old contortionist on so Hannah had to stand on her head and move her legs all around. When Katie saw what Hannah was doing she had to stand on her head too. It was so funny.
We went camping for Memorial Day and we also went camping and salmon fishing in June. Shawn caught 17 fish, which is good but about half of what we expected.
Shane (Shawn's brother) and Karen along with their 2 kids came up from Anchorage and spent about a week with us. We had a fun time with them. We went swimming, played at the park, and had a picnic with Shawn's family.
The summer is going by so fast. I can't believe that it is almost half over already. Tabetha, Jarom and Logan are in Utah right now having a great time. They will be back at the end of the month. Hannah and Katie are lost without them. We all miss them terribly and can't wait until they get back.
